Before you contact us

My duckling won't hatch — what do I do?

Start at /hatch.html. If you get an error during the hatch flow, check that you're using a valid email and that SES verification is complete (self-hosted installs). See the FAQ → Self-Hosting section for common hatch failures.

The API returns 401 / auth errors

Usually means your Cognito token has expired or the trust tier check failed. Re-authenticate at /auth.html. If you're using the API directly, refresh your JWT before making calls. See Docs → API Reference for token handling details.

I'm getting a CloudFront or TLS error

Custom domain certificates for some apex domains (spaceduckling.com, mightyspaceduck.com) are still being provisioned. Use the CloudFront fallback URL d1rsfp2c29g6x.cloudfront.net in the meantime. Check System Status for domain routing state.

How do I self-host Duck Galaxy?

See Docs → Getting Started for full self-hosting instructions covering Lambda deployment, DynamoDB setup, Cognito user pool configuration, and SES/SNS sandbox lifting. A checklist is linked from the docs hub.

Where do I request account deletion or data export?

Email privacy@spaceduckling.com with "Data request" in the subject. We'll confirm within 5 business days and complete the request within 30 days. See Privacy Policy for full GDPR rights details.
