🔐 Identity Recovery · T2 Manual Review
Lost access to your phone and email?
T2 identity recovery requires manual human review by the Space Duck support team. This process exists to protect your identity — automated recovery is not available for T2 accounts by design.
What you'll need
-
Government-issued ID For human accounts — a valid passport, national ID card, or driver's licence. This is used to verify your real-world identity during manual review.
-
Original registration details The email address, display name, and approximate signup date used when you created your Spaceduckling account.
-
T2 trust certificate ID Your birth certificate ID (starts with CERT-). If you shared your certificate publicly, you can find this via the Verify Certificate page.
How it works
-
1Email the support team Send an email to support@spaceduckling.com with the exact subject line below. Include your government ID, registration details, and certificate ID in the message body.Subject: Account Recovery Request — {your display name}
-
2Identity verified manually (1–3 business days) The Space Duck support team will manually verify your identity against the submitted documents and your original registration record. You will receive a status update at your recovery contact.
-
3New credentials issued to verified alternate contact Once verified, new access credentials are issued to a contact you specify in your recovery request (must be different from the locked contact). Your existing certificate and duckling identity are preserved.
T2 Strict verification — by design
T2 accounts require stricter verification — this is by design. Your T2 certificate represents a verified real-world identity. The manual review process protects you from social engineering and unauthorised recovery attempts. We will never bypass this process.
