Cookie Preferences

Manage what Space Duck stores in your browser.

Space Duck uses no third-party tracking cookies. We use localStorage only — for your session token, theme preference, recently-viewed pages, and notification preferences. No data is shared with advertisers. No cross-site tracking occurs.

Essential

Authentication session (sd_token), theme preference (dg_theme), cookie consent acknowledgement (sd_cookie_consent). Cannot be disabled — required for the site to function.

Always on

Anonymous page analytics

Anonymous page-load ping via POST /beak/pageview. No PII, no cross-site tracking. Used to understand which pages are useful. Stored server-side in DynamoDB with no user identifier.

Marketing communications

Newsletter and Galaxy 1.2 launch notifications. Stores sd_newsletter_subscribed in localStorage to avoid repeat prompts. No email is stored without your explicit input on a sign-up form.

What's stored and where: All preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage under the duckgalaxy.com origin. They are never transmitted to third parties. You can clear all stored data at any time using the button above, or via your browser's Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage.
